Method SIRCAL MP-2000
The inert gas passes through a titanium sponge-filled absorber tube. A chemical reaction at 680°C removes oxygen and nitrogen. A copper oxide-filled tube removes carbon monoxide, oxygen, and hydrocarbons at 450°C. The gas then passes through a molecular sieve desiccant tube, which operates at ambient temperature and removes moisture and carbon dioxide from the inert gas through physical adsorption.
The cleaning furnace is supplied ready for use. Simply connect to the local power supply, attach the gas cylinder, purge the pipes, turn on the power, and you’re ready to go!
The MP-2000’s modular design greatly simplifies operation, maintenance, and repair. As the absorber tubes and molecular sieve desiccant become contaminated, they must be replaced with new ones. The entire replacement process is quite simple and quick. The molecular sieve is regenerable.
The inert gas purification unit has a modular design, significantly simplifying maintenance and installation.
The gas purifier has an LCD display that provides complete information on the unit’s status, furnace operating time, and error messages. The furnace temperature does not decrease when temporarily disconnected from the power supply.
Rare gases are typically used to create an inert chemical environment for applications where the presence of molecular species (e.g., oxides, carbides, etc.) is undesirable.
This is especially critical in research applications such as arc/spark optical emission spectroscopy for metal and alloy analysis.
